RENSHI FLYNN BANDHAN

The founder of Wellness Martial Arts, Renshi Flynn Bandhan has been studying martial arts for over 40 years. He has been trained in many styles such as Jujutsu, Arnis, Kendo, Tae Kwon Do and Karate. Renshi has gained much knowledge from his experiences and makes no hesitation to pass it on. His ultimate goal is to bring out the best in his students and to assist them in discovering themselves. He lives by and instills in his students the Principles of Black Belt: Modesty, Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance, and Indomitable Spirit.

MASTER VERONICA DeSANTOS

Kwan Jan Nim DeSantos is a 7th degree Black Belt and is the founder of our sister school DeSantos Martial Arts . Focusing on the needs of the individual student, she strives to empower them to be the best they can be. She has an uncanny ability for knowing how hard a student is working within themselves, and to demand no less than the best efforts of each student. A strong believer in the principles of the Black Belt, she has high standards of professionalism and a fierce loyalty to her instructors and students. In 1999, Kwan Jan Nim De Santos was the first woman to be inducted in the North American Martial Arts Hall Of Fame. Having won numerous championships in her competitive years, she was ranked as one of Canada’s top female fighters in 1988 & 1989 and also won Ontario’s Amateur Athlete of the year for the same years.

INSTRUCTORS

All of our assistant instructors at Wellness Martial Arts have a minimum 6 years of training under Renshi Flynn (6th Dan) and Sensei Lennon (4th Dan) and have attained the rank of 1st degree Black Belt or higher. Instructors undergo weekly training to keep their Martial Arts and teaching ability at the highest level. They are trained to work with children and adults of all ages, genders, and abilities. Helping students succeed in and out of the dojo is the most rewarding part of their job. They are very caring and understanding people who inspire our students through their energy and enthusiasm.
